Local young people may visit New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Germany, Japan, Canada, Korea, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, and the Netherlands through the Working Holiday Scheme, and take up short-term employment and/or study courses during their stay so as to acquire a better understanding of the cultural and social developments of these economies. The Scheme aims to enable young people to gain invaluable experience while holidaying and working abroad, thereby strengthening their self-confidence, resilience and inter-personal skills.
"Gov Job" contains nearly 100 videos produced by Youth.gov.hk in collaboration with more than 30 bureaux/departments to introduce the nature of various jobs in the Government, e.g. Immigration Officer in Immigration Department, Air Traffic Flight Services Officer in Civil Aviation Department , Assistant Social Work Officer in Social Welfare Department, Doctor in Department of Health and Lifeguard in Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
"Career and Study" provides information on education and career pursuit, such as activities and topical stories.
"Startup" covers practical information ranging from topical stories on entrepreneurship, a startup funding schemes finder, a map of co-working spaces, and relevant activities for young entrepreneurs.
The Education Bureau has launched the "Designated Webpage for Secondary 6 Students" to provide the latest information on multiple pathways at one-stop, which facilitates the early life planning of S6 graduates.
A dedicated "Life Planning Information Website" developed by the Education Bureau features the latest careers information of over 300 types of work covering 21 traditional and emerging industries, updated information on local and overseas pathway for further studies together with variety of videos sharing which can facilitate students to prepare for their further studies and employment.
