In general, job fairs will resume 3 hours after the cancellation of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / "Extreme Conditions" announced by the Government. Yet, depending on the weather and traffic conditions at the material time, representatives of individual organisations may arrive at the venue late or even unable to come.
The above is the general arrangement of job fairs under adverse weather. The actual opening hours of job fairs may be adjusted in case the venues cannot be duly re-opened after the cancellation of warning signals, or the set-up of job fairs cannot be completed as originally scheduled due to adverse weather or there are other unforeseeable circumstances. In such event, please pay attention to the latest announcement by the Labour Department.
If a Pre-No.8 Special Announcement is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory during the course of a job fair, the job fair shall cease one hour before the issue of the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8.
The above arrangement is only applicable to large-scale job fairs. As for the arrangement for job fairs held in job centres / recruitment centres in times of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / "Extreme Conditions" announced by the Government, please refer to the information regarding respective job fair on Interactive Employment Service website (https://www.jobs.gov.hk/).
