Selective Placement Division

The Selective Placement Division (SPD) provides personalized employment services for persons with disabilities who are fit for open employment. The employment consultants render employment counseling for job seekers, disseminate up-to-date labour market information to them, as well as conducting job matching and referral for them. Besides, workshops and talks are organized for job seekers with a view to enhancing their job-search skills and interview techniques. Upon placing a job seeker into employment, the employment consultant will follow up for no less than 6 months to assist the job seeker in settling in smoothly.

Employers are also welcome to recruit persons with disabilities through SPD. Vacancy information can be submitted through mail, telephone, facsimile or Interactive Selective Placement Service Website. The employment consultants will follow up the vacancy information submitted as soon as possible and provide professional job matching and referral services for employers.

Furthermore, SPD actively implements the "Work Orientation and Placement Scheme", which provides employers with financial incentive to encourage them to recruit job seekers with disabilities and provide on-the-job training/support to them.
